Flash Player 9 for Linux released as prerelease

Happy days are here again! Adobe labs just released their prerelease of Flash Player 9 for Linux!

You can download the "prerelease" of FlashPlayer 9 from their website.

For those who may be wondering... Yes, the NBC online videos now work under Linux!

Now, on the download page it mentions an "installer" for Linux, this is a bit of a misnomer. It is just the plugin in a tar.gz file. you have to manualy install it by dropping it into your ~/.mozilla/plugins directory yourself (for a user install) or drop it into your /usr/lib//plugins directory to install as root.

Either way it's super easy to install though you *will* have to set your file browser to "Show hidden files" (Ctrl+H) as all ".xyz" type directories are hidden.

Tonight I will investigate the back log of NBC shows I have missed by watching then on their Rewind site!
