Everyone knows about Tupperware parties. Many people even know of Mary Kaye and Avon. for the culinary inclined there is the Pampered Chef company. What about those of us who don't wear make-up, store leftovers or cook? for the rest of us, we now have SimplyFun.
SimplyFun is a consultant-based game company. Their products; games, puzzles and puppets, are available through home game parties.
What SimplyFun is basing their company on is the idea that most people buy games after having played them at a friend's house. Think about that for a minute, how many games have you ever bought *cold* from a store shelf before having played it?
With the exception of hard-core gamers, most people buy a game after having played it at a friend's house. Most people are also only familiar with a small group of mainstream games. They know; Monopoly, Uno, Mouse Trap and various other *mainstream* games. It's not that these people do not like to try out new games, it's just that most people are ignorant of the wide variety of games on the market these days.
This is where SimplyFun comes in.
Next time you plan to have some friends over for a night of socializing around the table why not invite a SimplyFun independent sales consultant over with some games? Think about it, you've been playing the same games for years, why not try something new?
The consultant will work with you ahead of time to plan the night. She'll bring a wide assortment of games to sample and play. You will have fun as you sample new games with your friends!
Before the night is over you may just find yourself with a new favorite game!
Just as with all of the other "home party" companies you, as host, will earn free product. A typical SimplyFun party will garner the host between 10% and 20% credit towards free product as well as the potential to earn half price items. SimplyFun also runs specials each month where you can buy certain games for less then the usual price.
The games run the gamut from children to teen/adult style games. They have 3-D wooden puzzles and simpler puzzles for the growing child. Their line of puppets is also very nice.
A few of my favorite games are these:
1) Simply Catan - This reprint of the classic Klaus Teuber game is commonly referred to as the gateway game of the 1990's! Game play consists of acquiring, trading and using resources to earn victory points. The game board is based on a variable hex board of tiles upon which you will build roads, settlements and cities.
2) Walk the Dogs - Designed by Alan R. Moon, this great game includes a big bag of rubber dogs and a deck of cards. Players play cards to take dogs out of the big line of dogs to make their own personal line of dogs. There are a few special cards in the deck which can be used to steal dogs from your opponent. There is even a "dog catcher" card which results in everyone losing some dogs.
3) Zing - This trick taking game should appeal to all trick taking card game fans. Unlike games such as spades and hearts, Zing plays just as well with an even number of players as it does with an odd number of players.
SimplyFun is a new company and consultants are not available in all areas of the USA just yet. If this business appeals to you, why not sign up yourself? The cost to become a consultant is relatively low and most consultants are able to make back their start-up cost after only one party.
