I placed that link in a select few comments on Digg to test a theory on the Digg Effect. Namely the idea that by simply having a link on Digg to your site will generate massive amounts of traffic and potentially collapse your server.
This test is based on only having a few links back to your site inside comments rather then a test on an actual story being linked back.
Within a few days time, I will post a new blog entry showing detailed hit statistics generated on Sept 7 2006. I will note the approximate time of the first link being posted in a comment on Digg and show the resulting change in my normal traffic pattern.
I will then do one last test, based on what occurs when an actual story is linked back to your site on Digg.
